It is part of a development cooperation project financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania and it is implemented by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania.

The forum will address issues related to the implementation and protection of the rule of law principles. Therefore, the participants will discuss relevant caselaw, challenges and issues concerning capacity development of the attending Constitutional Courts.

This is to be achieved by sharing good practice and relevant experience with representatives of these Constitutional Courts. At the same time, preconditions will be created for these countries to contribute to the introduction and consolidation of the fundamental principles of democracy in the Eastern Partnership region of the European Union.

The participants of the forum will also be invited to attend the official ceremony of commemoration of the 24th anniversary of the Constitution of Lithuania, on 25 October 2016.
